Brandusa Niro, a contemporary multi-disciplinary artist based in Palm Beach and New York, traces her artistic lineage back to her upbringing in Romania. Immersed in a family of creatives, her aunt Geta Caragiu renowned as a sculptor and her uncle Toma Caragiu a famous actor in both film and theatre, Niro’s artistic journey started very early. Brandusa began garnering recognition by winning Romanian National art competitions and captivating audiences on the silver screen, starring in the biggest blockbuster Romanian film “Uncle Marin, the Billionaire,” Niro’s talents shone brightly.

#ArtistSpotlight: Laurence Gartel "The Father of Digital Art"

When we mention the name Laurence Gartel, we are talking about a figure within the art world that has pretty much seen everything. From the heady days of Studio 54 and bumping into the likes of Truman Capote through to being the frontrunner in the art-car phenomenon. Gartel’s work has been featured in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, MoMA The Museum of Modern Art in New York, and The Lucca Museum in Italy. Laurence Gartel has created works of art for The Coca-Cola Company, the National Basketball Association, Absolut Vodka, and he was the official artist of the 57th Grammy Awards, and was also featured in Apple’s famous “Think Different” ad just to name a few. Hailed as the first graphic artist of the digital age, Gartel stands at the top of his artistic niche as the acknowledged “Father of Digital Art”. He created his first piece of digital art in 1975 at Media Study Buffalo in upstate New York and also created the first digital ad for Absolut Vodka utilizing the first digital camera by Canon. Featuring some of the most prestigious contemporary, emerging and modern art galleries, the show will provide a new entrée for collectors to explore and acquire the best of a broad selection of global contemporary and modern art in the vibrant cultural hub of South Florida. Geared to benefit from the current real estate boom, proximity to Miami and wealth of the Tri-County Area, Art Palm Beach 2023 will focus on presenting international modern and contemporary galleries featuring work by notable emerging artists as well as top names from the contemporary, modern, classical modern, post-war and pop eras.
