Brandusa Niro, a contemporary multi-disciplinary artist based in Palm Beach and New York, traces her artistic lineage back to her upbringing in Romania. Immersed in a family of creatives, her aunt Geta Caragiu renowned as a sculptor and her uncle Toma Caragiu a famous actor in both film and theatre, Niro’s artistic journey started very early. Brandusa began garnering recognition by winning Romanian National art competitions and captivating audiences on the silver screen, starring in the biggest blockbuster Romanian film “Uncle Marin, the Billionaire,” Niro’s talents shone brightly.

Relocating to the United States, Niro became a titan in the media and publishing worlds eventually becoming Senior Vice President at IMG Media. In 2002, she laid the foundation for her legacy by founding the esteemed American Fashion industry publication, The Daily Front Row, where she remains as Editor-in-Chief today. Throughout these years, Brandusa Niro continued to create artwork and is now making a full return to her greatest passion that never left.

In Brandusa Niro’s newest series of acrylic paintings entitled ‘Models’ her inspiration pays homage to the extraordinary women who have graced Niro’s life and career. Sri Prabha: Resonator - Reanimator at Boca Raton Museum of Art

Sri Prabha (b. 1969 Hyderabad, India; lives and works in Hollywood, FL) created a phenomenal site-specific multi-sensory installation at the Boca Raton Museum of Art that explores our connection to the natural world by commingling ideas from Vedic philosophy and science. His exhibition Resonator - Reanimator, is on view at the museum June 14 - October 22, 2023.

Abstract patterned digital projections sweep the walls, covering paintings and sculptures to create constantly shifting organic forms. Paired with audio of monks chanting, the overall feel is that of preparing the mind for meditation. Within the mind frame of meditation, visitors will see references to both the smallest and greatest elements of our universe.

Spiraling, pulsing amorphous shapes call to mind the view through a microscope, and twinkling flashes of light are reminiscent of a telescope’s sight. Melded together, they will create a psychedelic environment of saturated colors.

Meet “Dog Artist” Skip Hartzell & His Four-Legged Muses

South Florida artist Skip Hartzell is known locally as “the dog artist”. He creates large oil paintings, works on paper and four-legged sculptures inspired by man’s best friend.

His inspiration comes in the form of a morning walk, accompanied by a furry friend. The canine-inspired artworks that he creates are figments of his artistic imagination and creative vision. Hartzell creates directly from his emotions and instincts, his work is inspired by dogs of all shapes, sizes and varieties. He may not set out to mimic the look of someone’s beloved pet, but Hartzell says his sculptures and paintings often evoke a fond memory of a furry family member.

“Dogs are always in the moment. Although nothing in life has held my attention longer or has been more fascinating to me than dogs, my work is about much more than that. It is about form, movement, color and texture. The dogs are a recognizable common denominator that allows me to communicate my joy of living, passions and sentiments,” explained Skip Hartzell.

He’s never been one to place a rope around his artwork. “When you walk into Skip Hartzell’s studio you are greeted by hundreds of dogs in all shapes, sizes, textures and colors. There are dogs on the wall that create an intriguing color field installation. There are medium size dogs standing or sitting and hanging all over the place.
