International Call for Artists: Suburban Architecture

Suburban Architecture

The
Midwest Center for Photography in Wichita, Kansas seeks entries for a juried photography exhibition, August 7-28, 2020. Juror: Linda Robinson, Gallery Director. Buildings bring shape and urban design to the neighborhoods in our towns, cities and throughout the countryside in rural communities. We appreciate the visual design elements and the functionality of architecture in all its structures, shapes and forms. From the buildings dotting our land to the structures cutting through the earth, to the rooms we use everyday in our homes, architecture provides the most universal necessity of shelter. All interpretations and styles are welcomed, from the abstract to the literal to the understated, captured with an overview of landscape and cityscape shots to the close up details. The exhibition aims to represent varied takes on how urban, suburban and rural architecture shape our world. A brief artist statement is optional. Selected artists will have their work featured in the gallery exhibition and online. $40 entry fee. Deadline: August 6, 2020.
