The process is as painstakingly tedious as it looks, with each screw manually placed (at varying lengths) and painted. Andrew doesn’t use computer software to map out his portraits, it’s all by feel, treating each piece like a traditional sculpture. During this trip, he visited a gallery that housed an extraordinary private collection of Venetian glass that represented the pinnacle of Venetian Art Deco. Returning to the U.S., he then decided to create his own versions of the classic pieces with his unique, lively twist. Collaborating with Pino Signoretto and Lino Tagliapietra, two of Italy’s finest glass maestros. MAS Event Spotlight: MiFo Film Festival

The MiFo LGBT Film Festival is a critically acclaimed event, with two film festivals per year: Miami in April and Fort Lauderdale in October. This year the festival combined the names of the Miami and Fort Lauderdale Gay & Lesbian Film Festivals into MiFo.

The 8th Annual Fort Lauderdale Edition takes place from Friday, October 7th until Sunday, October 16th. The 19th Annual Miami Edition takes place from Friday, April 21st until Sunday, April 30th.

The MiFo LGBT Film Festival is committed to its mission: to inspire, entertain, and educate the public, encourage a sense of community through international and culturally diverse film, video, and other media that offer historical and contemporary perspectives on the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender experience.

The Miami Edition has grown from a 3-day event in which twenty-five films were presented to the current format of 10-days with 65+films.

The Fort Lauderdale Edition has recently grown from a 3-day event to a two weekend event showcasing 50+ films.

The MiFo LGBT Film Festival is an internationally acclaimed event serving as a platform for numerous World, North American, and East Coast Premiers. MiFo is also the largest LGBT cultural arts event in South Florida.
