NSU Art Museum Membership: What’s New? NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale would like to express their sincerest gratitude for supporting the Museum and continuing your membership throughout this challenging year. The Museum took this time to devise ways to reimagine their membership program so that they could provide members with the best art experiences, finest exhibitions, and engaging events. The members are at the heart of the Museum and it is the Museum's pleasure to listen and answer their needs with the aim of going beyond their expectations. With this perspective, NSU Art Museum is sharing with you their NEW membership brochure and Curator Circle membership, dedicated to a New Generation of Art Collectors. Here is a glimpse of the fantastic Curator Circle Launch event on November 17th Photography by Downtown Photo Curator Circle is NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale’s new affinity group designed for Next Generation Art enthusiasts, aspiring collectors and Museum supporters. Benefits include art talks with curators, collectors, and art advisors; visits to artists’ studios and galleries; access to Art Basel/Miami Art Week; unique experiences and more. Best of all, Curator Circle members contribute to the Museum’s permanent collection!  The annual membership fee of $1,525 includes a $500 contribution to an art acquisitions fund for the purchase of new works for the Museum. Members experience the excitement of exclusive access to the art world while also helping the Museum build its permanent art collection. Not only do Curator Circle members contribute to the Acquisition Fund, but they also vote on the art works purchased with these funds. New Members Meet-and-Greet The museum is pleased to announce that Elisabeth de Lapresle-Wennberg is the new Donor Relations and Annual Fund Manager. Elisabeth, Kenya Semexant, Advancement Associate, and Lexi Gomulka, Membership Associate, will Meet-and-Greet NEW members over coffee every Tuesday in December from 11 am - 12 pm in the Museum Store and Café! End of the Year Gifts and Tax Incentive Provisions Reminding you of some important tax incentive provisions that will expire on December 31, 2021. These provisions may affect you and even make it easier for you to make a gift to NSU Art Museum prior to the end of the calendar year. These charitable provisions include: An expanded charitable giving incentive that allows taxpayers who take the standard deduction to make up to $300 in charitable cash contributions for single filers ($600 for married couples filing jointly) to qualified charities like the museum. For those taxpayers who do itemize their deductions, the provision allows for cash contributions to qualified charities such as ours to be deducted up to 100% of your adjusted gross income. The museum is so grateful for your support and generosity, which touches - and changes - so many lives.
