El Espacio 23 presents Time for Change: Art and Social Unrest in the Jorge M. Pérez Collection

The group exhibition 'Time for Change: Art and Social Unrest in the Jorge M. Pérez Collection' inaugurates the latest art space El Espacio 23, new home to the collector and patron Jorge Pérez’s art collection. The exhibition opens on December 4th, coinciding with Miami Art Week 2019. "For 40 years I’ve been collecting art that addresses poverty, racism, sexism and migration," stated Pérez.

The exhibition’s thread is the analysis of paradoxes of contemporaneity besides the investigation of historical events reframed in the present. On view more than 100 works by 80 international artists, such as Michelangelo Pistoletto, Doris Salcedo, Fernando Bryce, Ai Weiwei, Sandra Gamarra, William Kentridge, Barthelemy Toguo, Eugenio Dittborn, Alfredo Jaar, Claudia Coca, and Eduoard Duval Carrie, and many more.
