Alex Katz: Small Works Lecture: March 16, 10-11 AM
Lanya Snyder will present an overview at Art Boca Raton of the Alex Katz exhibition at the Boca Raton Museum of Art. Ms. Snyder is the Assistant Curator of the Boca Museum of Art, and Curator of the current exhibition on Alex Katz.
After a creative visit to the Amazon Forest, Christian Lapie began to create his monumental sculptures by shaping rough-hewn textured figures in fire-blackened timber, cut into shape but not yet smoothed to help to increase their dramatic presence. Boccara Gallery will exhibit works of this international renown French sculptor.
