Artist Farnaz Harouni's MIAMI MIRAGE at CONTEXT showing with SAB Gallery Booth B23 December 2-7 during Miami Art Week

Showing with SAB Gallery at CONTEXT, Booth B23, December 2-7

Farnaz Harouni is a multidisciplinary Artist, Designer, and Professor whose work celebrates empowerment, authenticity, and the triumph of the human spirit. A top graduate of Otis College of Art and Design, she bridges fine art, couture fashion, and interior design-earning prestigious awards and creating pieces worn and collected by celebrities and tastemakers alike.

For over 17 years, Harouni has also shaped future generations of artists as a dedicated Professor at Otis, where her influence extends far beyond the classroom. Her commitment to community and philanthropy mirrors the generosity and intention embedded in her creative practice.

Based in Los Angeles, Harouni draws inspiration from her global travels, nature, and the richness of cultural diversity-infusing each work with a sense of joy, meaning, and connection that transcends borders.

Farnaz Harouni's work reimagines the human lip as a high-energy canvas, pulsing with the same electricity that fuels Miami's art and music scene. Each piece channels the city's rhythmic nightlife, creative influence, and sun-soaked vibrancy through bold palettes, shimmering textures, and sculptural detail that comes alive.

Her art celebrates lips as both a universal symbol of expression and an iconic object of desire, echoing the way Miami itself speaks through color, sound, and culture. The sparkle, saturation, and kinetic energy within her pieces mirror the eclectic rhythm of the of Miami streets and the immersive sensory experience that defines Art Basel.

"The lips are a universal symbol of the power of self-expression and an iconic object of desire," says Farnaz Harouni.

"In a place as vibrant as Miami—where art, music, and culture collide—I want to magnify that power. My work aims to provoke thought, evoke joy, and celebrate collective beauty through the lens of individual diversity."

In celebration of Art Basel Miami Beach Week 2025,
Studio Hue 53 proudly presents Peter Jooren: A Vision Preserved, a rare archival exhibition from the Jooren Studio Collection, on view December 4–6, 2025 in Miami. This extraordinary showcase invites viewers to explore the life’s work of Dutch artist Peter Jooren (1944–2016) — a painter whose imagination, emotion, and curiosity continue to resonate far beyond his time. Art collectors and aficionados are cordially invited to experience the Opening Reception on Thursday, December 4th from 6 – 9pm with a Legacy Talk featuring the first limited-edition release of archival prints offered at an exclusive collectors rate for this evening only. RSVP HERE.

Peter Jooren, Lady, Horse, Jaguar, 1991

Bringing together decades of paintings and drawings, A Vision Preserved reveals the depth and evolution of Jooren’s artistic language — from expressive portraiture and surreal dreamscapes to luminous landscapes that bridge the real and the imagined. His works reflect a mastery of technique rooted in European tradition, yet unbound by convention, embodying an artist ever in pursuit of visual truth and emotional resonance.

Peter Jooren, Dutch Farmer & Cow, 1995

Born in the Netherlands, Jooren studied at the Art Academy in Rotterdam during the mid-1960s, drawing early influence from Dutch masters such as Israëls and Maris. Over the years, his practice expanded to embrace surrealism, sci-fi landscapes, still life, and impressionistic portraiture — a testament to a restless creative spirit. His travels deeply informed his later works, infusing them with cultural depth and global perspective.

Jooren Studio

After his passing in 2016, his family established Jooren Studio to preserve his artistic vision through meticulous archiving, curated exhibitions, and limited-edition fine art prints. Today, their commitment ensures that Peter Jooren’s legacy remains vibrant, continuing to inspire new audiences and generations of artists.

During Art Basel Miami 2025, Peter Jooren: A Vision Preserved becomes not just an exhibition, but an immersive journey through legacy and mindfulness. The program unfolds across three days at Studio Hue 53, founded by Angela Portillo, a creative hub known for fostering community, collaboration, and artistic dialogue.
