South Florida Visual Artist Amauri Torezan Inspires Us With His Minimalist, Retro Abstract Style

Brazilian-born artist Amauri Torezan creates impressive geometric and organic compositions evoking a sense of depth, as though the flatly painted shapes were eternally suspended in space. His influences range from the work of the pioneers of abstract art to the Brazilian modernists, not only in the visual arts, but also architects such as Oscar Niemeyer and the landscape designer/painter Roberto Burle Marx.

In his work, shapes and lines seem to float around each other as if they were suspended in space. Layers of contrasting colors enhance the exuberant depth effect, creating a sensation of vibrant life.

Torezan’s works have been exhibited at The Baker Museum, Coral Springs Museum of Art as well as in art galleries and international art fairs. Torezan has painted monumental murals in the Wynwood Arts District and the luxury hotel The Dalmar.

Among his artistic collaborations are monumental public murals and partnerships with brands such as the Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer.

Torezan’s art is held in corporate and private collections worldwide.

Patterns in Nature will explore the beauty of forms found in the natural world, where spirals and sacred geometries intertwine harmoniously. From camouflage and colors to intricate shapes, Patterns in Nature promises an enchanting exploration of the universe's artistry, revealing the breathtaking intersection of science, art and spirituality. With mathematical foundations such as the golden ratio and Fibonacci sequence, patterns emerge at various levels and scales all throughout our world.

This public exhibition aims to foster a deeper connection with our environment and acknowledge the subtle elegance woven into the fabric of existence, inspiring an appreciation for the underlying mathematical wonders that shape the universe. 

SaveArtSpace invites artists of all ages and talents to submit their artwork between August 7 and October 2, 2023. This is an opportunity to have your work placed on ad space in Miami Beach, Fl.

Open call for art ends October 2, 2023. There is a $10 donation per image submission to participate, each donation is tax deductible and goes to producing the public art. Selected artists will be announced after October 16, 2023. Public art will be installed November 27 in Miami Beach, Fl, the public art will be on view for at least one month.
