Announcing an Open Call For Submissions for a bank in Miami developing “art gallery branches”

Call For Artists: Solo Bank Branch Exhibition Titled, ‘A Command Performance,’ In Aventura's Financial Center



Announcing an Open Call For Submissions for a bank in Miami developing “art gallery branches” aiming to draw in customers and nurture a connection to the brand. This unique Call For Artists is seeking a Miami-based artist/photographer for a solo gallery exhibition of 2D work titled A Command Performance in an Aventura storefront starting in Fall 2018. The exhibit will be part of an ongoing series celebrating local artists. A Command Performance celebrates performance excellence (Theatre, Jazz, Film, Music, Sports, Dance, etc.) through the eye, perspective and imagination of a local artist who shares this level of passion for art. The deadline for submission is August 20th.

The artist receives 100% of sales, less any production costs incurred by the client. Artist must agree to inclusion of work in exhibition promotion through various media and marketing channels including potentially social media, outdoor, newspaper, and PR.


Requirements:

  • Artists must be contemporary artists working in Miami, celebrating, documenting or representing grand
    performances in Miami.
  • Media is limited to that which is suitable for wall-mounted presentation. Photography is preferred but painting and works on paper will be considered. We are not seeking sculpture, sound/video, media or performance art.
  • Artist must be able deliver 9-12 exhibition-ready works no later than September 2018.
  • Exhibited work must be either one-of-a-kind original works or from a limited edition series of no more than (10) and be exclusively on view in the Aventura location for the duration of the exhibition. All exhibited work must remain in place for the duration of the exhibition.
  • Artist must be willing/able to print and deliver art for exhibit. All agreed upon upfront payments will be reimbursed by the client. Client will manage installation.

 

Submission Guidelines:

  • Please submit 5-10 works as JPGs (under 5mb ea.), PDF contact sheet, or direct link to a lightbox or collected portfolio via email, with artist contact info (phone number and email address) in the body of the email. Additional links to portfolios, reviews and/or social media platforms are welcome.

Exhibition Dates: Fall 2018 – Summer 2019
Deadline: 12:00 AM (CST), Monday August 20, 2018.

Call To Artists: '1 Day of Art' Miami Edition June 14-15, 2017

Join us Wednesday, June 14th at 12 noon (t)here magazine announces 1 DAY OF ART MIAMI. Artists of all disciplines will gather in Miami for a one day creative event, 1 DAY OF ART. In this continuing (t)here magazine concept event – photographers, painters, writers and artists of all media will participate in an undisclosed editorial assignment.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, June 14th, 2017 at Noon, participants will gather in one location in the city of Miami where they will randomly draw their assigned subject. Their subsequent content must be executed in 24 hours within the respective city limits. All files and relevant materials are due on Thursday, June 15th, 2017 at Noon, at a location to be determined.

All work produced will provide the content foundation for Issue 18 of (t)here magazine, due for release in the Fall of 2017. Deliverables must also include a brief story for our readers about the art created, in addition to an artist biography.

(t)here is dedicated to creating content that is neither edited nor editorialized by their team. It is a gallery exhibition book that provides a free flow of original artistic content from beginning to end. In addition, (t)here hopes to provide a platform for artists of all backgrounds to come together in one city, rely on the inspirational people, culture, history, architecture, music and art of Miami to execute a body of work.
