Camelback Gallery announces a call to artists for an online competition and exhibition. Cash Award + Best in Show. All award winners receive 3-month online exhibition, social promotion & award certificate. Open to all artists 18 years and older. All painting mediums allowed including pencil, pen and charcoal and/or mixed media. Artwork must be representational and clearly depict a human art form as a real life image. The artwork may be any style, including abstracted shapes, however, a human form(s) must be present in the painting. A "Full Body" image is not required, however, it should not be a portrait of just the face. ("We are sorry, we know quite a few 'figurative pieces' are nudes, however, CB's Policy is No Nudity.") $18 for two paintings. Deadline: July 26, 2020

The Art Renewal Center announces a call to artists for an online art competition. Over $130,000 in Cash Awards. This is a competition for fine quality representational based works of art. Representational work in all styles spanning from highly realistic to impressionistic to imaginative qualify. All entries must be original artwork, conceived and created by the entrant within the past 3 years. "Painted over prints or drawings over prints are not acceptable in any category and are a direct violation of the rules of the competition. At this time, we do not accept etchings, photography, or other forms of prints or digital art." Acceptable mediums include: oil, pastel, watercolor, graphite, acrylic paints, charcoal, clay, bronze, plaster, resin, scratch-board, gold-point, silver-point, ink, colored pencils, gouache, tempera and all traditional mediums. Fine quality realistic renderings in mosaic are also acceptable. Deadline: August 14, 2020.

Visual Artist Celestino “Junior” Ortiz is an accomplished artist with an inclination towards Abstract Expressionism. The complexity and gestures within his bodies of work resonate passionately using bold reds, oranges, blues and green, yellow hues. Celestino recently started working on a new abstract series that evolved from his past style into a more esoteric aesthetic. The artist is also well known for his eye-catching and colorful pop art portraits. He also has a passion for live painting, and he just painted in front of an audience this past weekend for the beloved brand Arbonne.
