Theme: "Wet Paint", this show is open to any subject matter as long as it is 2D and uses any type of paint. We will be donating 10% of all entry fees to Habitat for Humanity. The 
Midwest Center for Photography in Wichita, Kansas seeks entries for a juried photography exhibition, August 7-28, 2020. Juror: Linda Robinson, Gallery Director. Buildings bring shape and urban design to the neighborhoods in our towns, cities and throughout the countryside in rural communities. We appreciate the visual design elements and the functionality of architecture in all its structures, shapes and forms. From the buildings dotting our land to the structures cutting through the earth, to the rooms we use everyday in our homes, architecture provides the most universal necessity of shelter. All interpretations and styles are welcomed, from the abstract to the literal to the understated, captured with an overview of landscape and cityscape shots to the close up details. The exhibition aims to represent varied takes on how urban, suburban and rural architecture shape our world. A brief artist statement is optional. Selected artists will have their work featured in the gallery exhibition and online. $40 entry fee. Deadline: August 6, 2020.

Contemporary Art Room Gallery announces their 1st Textures and Patterns Online Art Competition for the month of August 2020. This is an international competition and artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. The gallery invites artists and photographers to submit their best artworks related with the theme Textures & Patterns. A variety of interpretations can be submitted (representative, abstract, conceptional). All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art. All winning artists will receive a digital award certificate. First, second and third place will be largely displayed with an article about the artist and their work. Winning artwork (First place) will be on the poster of the show. Merit awards and Honorable Mention awards may also be presented. $15 for 2 images of artwork. You may enter more than once. Pastel Society of Southern California announces a call to artists for an online pastel exhibition, August 1-30, 2020. $1000 Cash 1st Place Award. Top 15 receive cash and product awards. Jurors: Dianna Ponting, Isabelle V. Lime, Niall O'Neill. Awards Judge: Lorenzo Chavez. Open to PSSC members and non-members worldwide. Must be 18 or older and working in soft pastel medium, no oil pastels. All work must be entered at www.onlinejuriedshows.com. Please read eligibility and show rules thoroughly prior to applying. Work must be 80% pastel, created within the last 3 years, and must not have been submitted to any prior PSSC show. No shipping, no size restrictions, no sales commission fees, and NFS is admissible. In 1980, Faber Birren, world renowned color consultant, author of 27 books on color, endowed the Faber Birren Color Award of $1000 for original and creative expression of color. The
 Faber Birren Color Award Show has grown to one of international scope and is the only artistic event devoted exclusively to the use of color. This year the Stamford Art Association celebrates its 40th year of the Faber Birren National Color Award Show and due to COVID-19 it will be an online exhibit only, September 26 - November 8, 2020. $2,000 in awards. Juror: Sean O'Hanlan, Research Assistant in the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Original art in any two-dimensional or three-dimensional media, created in the last 3 years and not exhibited previously in the Faber Birren Show. All award winners receive 3-month online exhibition, social promotion & award certificate. Open to all artists 18 years and older. All painting mediums allowed including pencil, pen and charcoal and/or mixed media. Artwork must be representational and clearly depict a human art form as a real life image. The artwork may be any style, including abstracted shapes, however, a human form(s) must be present in the painting. A "Full Body" image is not required, however, it should not be a portrait of just the face. ArtAscent Art & Literature Journal seeks entries for an online art exhibition, August 1, 2020 to August 1, 2022. Theme: Abstractions are all around us. Dallas Center For Photography (DCP) invites you to enter this juried competition with photographs that illustrate how your home experience is evolving as we adapt and change during this unique time in history. Everyone, both amateur and professional, is eligible to participate. "We especially encourage students under 18 years old to enter our Youth Category."
