The Frank Gallery in Pembroke Pines presents Art & Yoga for Kids!

 

The Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery invites you to Art & Yoga on Saturday, June 22nd from 11am - 1pm. Led by YogArtKids, this program is designed to provide children a space to develop their self-discovery, self-esteem, balance, and creativity through a guided lesson, meditation, and an art project. Tickets are $5 per child, nonrefundable, ages 4-10.
Parents must accompany kids for entire class. Materials are provided.

The Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery is a two story art gallery named after Pembroke Pines Mayor Frank C. Ortis for his decades-long commitment to the cultural arts. Lovingly known as ‘The Frank,’ this contemporary art gallery showcases multidisciplinary inclusive exhibitions that foster connections, facilitate collaborations and initiate cultural change. The gallery’s exhibition and learning space serves as a site of convergence for artists, performers, thought leaders and community members.

Kids’ Corner at The Frank in Pembroke Pines

The Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery and Exhibition Hall in Pembroke Pines presents Kids’ Corner on Saturday, October 5th from 12 noon – 1pm. Join The Frank every month for storytime! Together with their caretakers, children under the age of 8 build literacy and engage in art activities related to The Frank’s exhibition, New Industry! Featured storybooks will be Boy and Bot by Ame Dyckman and Roberto: The Insect Architect by Nina Laden. This event is free to the public.

Aventura Mall To Host smART Gallery Exhibition

Aventura Mall will present smART Gallery Tuesday, March 7th through Saturday, March 11th from 10am-8pm. A unique art exhibition geared to families and children. The gallery, which is in partnership with The Children’s Trust, will feature more than 40 pieces of art in various mediums created by local and national professional artists. The pieces are themed to promote literacy and numeracy in the Miami-Dade community and will be displayed at eye-level viewing for children to fully appreciate the experience.   'Do I Know Enough' by Benedicte Blanc-Fontenille (Key Biscayne, FL) Plaster, wood, rust 11” x 10” x 10” The event benefits the Miami-Dade Family Learning Partnership, which helps families gain the literacy and language skills they need by developing parents’ roles as teachers, so children will have high quality language and literacy instruction to prepare them for school. All artwork will be for sale, with proceeds benefiting Miami-Dade Family Learning Partnership and the artists.   'Heart Hype' by David McCauley (Miami, FL) Repurposed skateboards, spray paint, wood panels. 31” x 50”  Aventura Mall partnered with Just My Height Art Shows to curate the gallery pieces.
